Awaken and shape the world.
The name of this blog is Renaissance Innovation. I’m down in Africa watching the developments of our country and realising that a new community, ecclesiology, a new expression of the church, the movement of Christ is desperately needed. We grew up with Dutch reformed churches giving its blessing to Apartheid and Racism.ÂÂÂ
The church has lost credibility in our country, especially the church of the white man.  I read a quote of Erwin Mcmanus over the weekend that challenged me deeply: “People are not hard to reach, but Christians are hard to change.”   I suddenly realised how desperately the church in our country needs to change. ÂÂÂ
In our country with 11 official languages and 14 different African tribes a new and united tribe is needed. A people brought together by their hearts and not their races and language. Our country needs a renaissance and that will come through this new tribe. It will be a new innovation from God that will shape the change from the city of Gold(Egoli, Zulu word for gold) through the rest of Africa. This tribe will be the architects of a new African Culture.  And now we begin…….ÂÂÂ

Very interested to hear what happens in Africa. Who sang that song “Lord please don’t send me to Africa.” Guess you didn’t listen to that one. God bless.
